| Item Listing | Designing for Dementia Date: December 3, 2007 A new effort is underway to make life better for people with Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia—and it's not coming from the world of medicine. A professor at the University of Kansas has spent more than 15 years studying how the design of living spaces affects a person’s mood and performance. Keith Diaz Moore and two co-authors published a book that's now been recognized as the most significant contribution to design research and literature in 2007. As past of our series, "Kansas Health: A Prescription for Change", Health Reporter Bryan Thompson spoke with professor Diaz Moore about his research.
