   This month is routinely a time when the New York Yankees make their push toward playing in the World Series in October. At the same time, Kansas City is intent on avoiding a last place finish. It's strangely similar to 50 years ago when the Athletics called Kansas City home. Is Kansas City a breeding ground for ballplayers who move on to enjoy their best years in New York? It was more prevalent in the late 50s as Kansas Public Radio's Greg Echlin explains.
