| Item Listing | TV Station Assignment Editor Found Dead Date: July 21, 2010 A 30-year-old man found dead in his Kansas City home has been identified as an assignment editor at a TV station. Police are investigating the death of Nick Dutcher as a homicide but have not said how he was killed. His 2009 silver Ford Escape was missing and being sought today (WED). Dutcher was an assignment editor at KSHB, the NBC affiliate in Kansas City. Police went to his home in southern Kansas City and found the body yesterday (TUE) afternoon after KSHB reported that Dutcher failed to show up at work. In a statement, KSHB described Dutcher as "cheerful and friendly" and said employees were saddened and shocked by the death.
