| Item Listing | KS School Collects Votes to Win Free Computers Date: February 24, 2010 Neosho Heights Elementary School in Oswego is one of 10 schools in the country chosen to compete for an upgrade in its technology. Should the school win the Acer and Intel Technology Makeover contest, it would win 10 Acer notebook computers and two desktop computers with a total value of $12,000. The elementary school that serves about 200 students from preschool to five grade is the only school in Kansas chosen for the contest. Currently, the library has two old desktop computers, 20 laptops for all the classrooms and a small computer lab with 20 desktops. Principal Cynthia Sanders says the school that gets the most votes wins the contest. Votes can be registered at the school's Web site, www.usd504.org, or www.professional.us.acer.com/edu/ LibraryMakeover.
