Sustaining Membership

Make a significant impact as a

Sustaining Member!

Becoming a Sustaining Member is the best way to put more of your dollars into Kansas Public Radio's news, music and web services.

As a KPR Sustaining Member, your gift goes further by:

* Providing KPR with a stable source of income to support the programming you value.

* Eliminating the cost of installment reminder notices.

* Reducing the cost of processing payments.

It's as easy as 1-2-3!

1.) Decide how much you want to contribute to KPR.

2.) Fill out our Sustaining Member Form. Call KPR Membership Director, Kathleen Harrison, at 785-864-5268 with any questions. Installments can be paid from your checking or savings account at your bank or credit union, or we also accept payroll deductions from University of Kansas employees (here's a KU Payroll Deduction Form).

3.) Sit back and relax. Your installment will be automatically deducted with a record of each transaction appearing on your bank/credit union statement. Your membership is automatically renewed each year on your membership anniversary date.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I use other sources of payment instead of my bank account?

We also accept payroll deductions from University of Kansas employees. If you’re a KU employee, you may access a KU Payroll Deduction Form. It may take some time before the KPR deduction starts at KU Payroll.

How long does it take for my bank transfers to begin?

If you set up an auto-payment with your bank, the payment date will be determined between you and your bank. If you set up an electronic transfer through KPR and KU Endowment, the first deduction will usually occur on the fourth business day of the second month after your authorization is received.

How can I increase my installment amount?

KPR will give you the opportunity to upgrade your contribution amount each year when you receive your membership anniversary letter. If you would like to upgrade at any other time, please call Membership Director Kathleen Harrison at 785-864-5268, to request a new authorization form.

What happens if I change banks?

If you personally set up the payments with your own bank, KPR/KU Endowment won’t need notification. If you set payments up through KPR’s KUEA account, please provide KPR with a voided blank check printed with your new account number.

Is my contribution still tax-deductible?

Yes! We will send you a tax receipt at the start of each calendar year stating the total amount available for tax-deduction for the previous calendar year.

How do I stop my automatic transfers, if necessary?

Your payments continue until you decide to end them. To stop your Sustaining Membership, please call Membership Director Kathleen Harrison at 785-864-5268, e-mail her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or send a written request. Cancellation will become effective 15 days after KU Endowment receives notice of your intent to withdraw from this program. For a payment that KPR set up, you DO NOT need to notify your bank/credit union. However, if you set up an auto-payment with your banking institution, you will need to contact them.
