This Week on KPR Presents

Freedom to Serve
As the U.S. military reviews its controversial "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy on gays serving openly, KPR Presents "Freedom to Serve." We'll look at the role of blacks and women in the military, and how those lessons can be applied to gays. "Freedom to Serve" was moderated by NPR Senior News Analyst Juan Williams, and held at the Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, MO.

Jazz in the Night M-F 9:00 PM - 12:00 PM

From the traditional jazz of Louis Armstrong to the best in today's new jazz from young artists like Eldar Djangirov, from swinging singers to cooking Latin jazz, with plenty of bebop and ballads to boot, Jazz in the Night brings you a wide array of great jazz every Monday through Friday evening from 9 to midnight (10 to midnight on Wednesdays) with your host Bob McWilliams. Every week, there's a feature CD that you'll have a chance to win, and every Wednesday from 10 to 11 p.m., Bob presents four of the best new discs on the "New Release Spotlight." And your requests are more than welcome.
