This week's CD: In December of 1993 the Boston Symphony, conducted by Seiji Ozawa, performed a triblute to Antonin Dvorak in the city of Prague. They were joined by violinist Itzhak Perlman, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and others. Chamber music, orchestral works and vocal music by Dvorak are all part of this concert, which also aired on television around the world.

Congratulations to Susan from Overland Park, Kansas, winner of last week's prize. When people discuss the greatest contributions to the arts in Western civilization, names such as Shakespeare, da Vinci, and Beethoven inevitably arise. Proponents for Beethoven cite his five late quartets, which were the final works that he completed. In this first of three volumes, the Cypress String Quartet brings a fresh voice of humanity and clarity to these monumental works. (Courtesy of Cypress String Quartet)
